Why Jesus Christ is the one and only way to God and Salvation?

Updated: Sep 22

Jesus Christ and Christianity stand and fall together one cannot be true without the other.

Religion is man's way and means to find and reach God. In contrast, Christianity is God reaching out to save humanity dead in sin through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as payment for the penalty of sin.

Jesus Christ's death

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

"And without controversy great was the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

1 Timothy 3:16

Here we see that God himself had to come down to this sinful world to redeem us through his only Begotten Son Jesus. Jesus was God in human form, 100% God and 100% human. If there were other ways of reaching God and being saved why did God have to send his Son to suffer and die a horrible death? Because of pride, human beings refuse God's gift through the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

John 3:16-17

"For to this end Christ both died and rose and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living."

Romans 14:9

Resurrection foretold:

"And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again."

Mark 8:31

"And straightly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and the chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day."

Luke 9:22

"From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day."

Matthew 16:21

Please take note that it is only God who knows and can tell the future before it happens.

"Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure."

Isaiah 46:10

To be saved we must believe in the infallible word of God which was inspired by the Holy Spirit. This life is short and it will soon be over. Where will you spend eternity?

Ressurection is true beyond any doubt.

"Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead."

1 Corinthians 15:12

There were some even today who refuse to believe that Jesus rose from the dead. His resurrection separates him from all other religious founders and leaders who died and were buried. Their bones are still in their graves yet Jesus's tomb is empty as a testimony to his resurrection. Jesus Christ is alive and is seated on the right-hand side of God the Father in heaven where he is interceding for us.

"But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ be not risen:

And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.

Yeah, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is in vain; ye are yet in your sins."

1 Corinthians 15:13-17

Resurrection is the one thing that declared Jesus to be the Son of God. It is the one thing that must be believed for one to be saved.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 10:9-10

Who do you believe? Where will you spend eternity? We shall all, those who believe and those who refuse to believe, be answerable to God. Remember the devil hates Jesus with all that he has. The devil has no problem with people believing in anything called god as long as Jesus Christ is not mentioned and included. He knows very well that Jesus is the only Way, The Truth, and the Life and that no one comes to the Father but by him. He wants people to go with their sinful lives to God directly because he knows that way he will get many people to be cast into hell and eventually Lake of Fire and Brimstone.

Some say they cannot accept that the loving God would punish people in the Lake of Fire forever and ever. Just imagine you believe that then when you die and are buried you find out that what Jesus said is true.

"And if thy hand offend thee , cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched."

Mark 9:43

Jesus knows what he created and knows his home and how to get there. Trying to be wise and to formulate our means and ways to go to heaven is futile and the worst decision one can make in this life because it has eternal consequences.

Amen,God bless
