JESUS CHRIST IS GOD AND SAVIOUR

God is righteous and just as a result he cannot let sin go unpunished yet he is long-suffering and merciful. Man having sinned while in Adam's loins judgement was given. The penalty for sin is death which means whoever is a descendant of Adam and Eve as all human beings are has an inherent sinful nature from birth and deserves to die. Sinning is natural to all human beings which is why a child does not need to be taught to be angry or to be cruel as to bite the mother's breast that feeds it.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Romans 3:23

" As it is written, THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE:"

Romans 3:10

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 6:23

If any person sins God because he is faithful, righteous, and just he will give that person the wage or payment for that sin which is death. There is no other payment for sin except death. It is deadly.

Human beings are spiritual beings with souls and live in physical bodies. Human beings are not eternal as God is but are everlasting which means we will live forever whether with God or in hell and finally in a lake of fire. The solution to overcome sin is to repent, forsake sin and turn to Jesus accepting him as Lord and Saviour.

Jesus Christ forgave sins:

"And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise and walk?

But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy.) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

And he arose, and departed to his house."

Matthew 9:3-7

Jews were aware that Jesus was claiming to be God when he said,

'I and my father are one. then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my father: for which of those works do ye stone me?

The Jews answered him, saying, for a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy;and because that thou, being a man, makesth thyself God."

John 10:30-33

Jesus Christ accepted worship;

Jesus healed a man who was blind from birth. He spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay and sent him to wash in the pool of Siloam. When the Jews had interrogated him they cast him out.

"Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he found him he said unto him, Dost thou believe in the Son of God?

He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe in him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.

And he said, Lord, I believe, and he worshipped him."

John 9:35-38

Jesu did not refuse worship because he is God. Angles refuse worship because they are not to be worshipped as God. Even God himself refers to Jesus as God.

"And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.....But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: A sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.'

Hebrews 1:6&8

Jesus was the only one in the whole universe qualified to redeem those who would accept him as Lord and Saviour. He had to die in our place. Those who accept him and continuously live holy, righteous and pure life will not be cast away and will not suffer the penalty of sin because it has been paid for. He died, was buried and was raised from the dead having overcome death. We therefore are no longer afraid of death.

We are justified:

" Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God:

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.:

Romans 3:24-26
